Strange symptoms.
Doctor visits. 
Scheduled MRI.
Met oncologist.

Biopsy.
Port placement.
Hospital admission.
Family called. 

It was a long July day. 

Five rounds chemo.
PT everyday.
Tests and scans.
Too many pokes.

Hair is gone. 
Nausea common. 
Prayers surround.
Watchful vigils. 

It was the new normal. 

A clear scan. 
Bell to be rung. 
Cancer-free.
Time to go home. 

She overcame.
Alive and walking.
2019 graduate. 
A healing journey.

She is a survivor.
